carbon plus water

Answers

What is the balanced equation for carbon dioxide plus water to equal C(6)H(12)O(6)? the numbers are subscripts?

I need the balanced chemical formula for CO(2) plus H(2)O to yield C(6)H(12)O(6). and the numbers in parenthesis means that the number is a subscript.
Thank you all!!!! I feel so stupid because I forgot about oxygen being left off.... I feel like a moron and I thank you all for your help!!!!

When 16 grams of methane gas combined with 64 grams of oxygen, 44 grams of carbon dioxide form plus water.?

When 16 grams of methane gas combine with 64 grams of oxygen 44 grams of carbon dioxide form plus water. what mass of water is produced?

From conservation of mass,
16 + 64 = 44 + w
where w is the mass in grams of the water.

Chemical Formula? - heating methane gas plus oxygen gas yields carbon dioxide gas plus liquid water?

How do you write this as a chemical formula?

heating methane gas plus oxygen gas yields carbon dioxide gas plus liquid water

CH4 + 2 O2 ----> CO2 + 2 H2O

Carbon dioxide, CO2, and ammonia, NH3, combines together to form urea, CH4N2O, plus water....?

How do you calculate the mass of ammonia in grams that would be needed to produce 1.12 moles of urea?

Thanks!

2 NH3 + 1 CO2 → 1 (NH2)2CO + 1 H2O

the reaction equation calls for 2 moles of ammonia, 34 grams in order to make 1 mole of urea

? g of NH3 =1.12 moles urea @ 34.06 grams NH3 /1 mole urea

ANSWER 38.1 grams

16 grams of methane gas combine with 64 grams of O, 44 grams of Carbon dioxide form. mass of water produced?

when 16 grams of methane gas combine with 64 grams of oxygen, 44 grams of carbon dixoide form, plus water. what mass of water is produced?

Hi,
The "Law of conservation of mass" applies in a closed system (i.e. one where nothing can leave nor enter). This states that mass cannot be created or destroyed, so if you combine 16g of methane with 64g of oxygen the total mass of reactants is 80g. Hence 80-44= the mass of water produced i.e. 36g (2moles).

Carbon Capture Journal

- In a paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Peter B. Kelemen and Jürg Matter from Columbia University describe how the natural process of carbonation of a mineral, peridotite, could be enhanced to capture and store billion of tonnes of CO2 every year from the atmosphere.

Peridotite is a naturally occuring rock formation present in Oman, as well as other locations around the world including Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia and along the east coast of the Adriatic Sea.

The researchers found that hundreds of thousands of tonnes of CO2 are naturally stored in Oman alone every year, and suggest ways in which this process could be enhanced to store more than a billion tonnes.

“Peridotite carbonation can be accelerated via drilling, hydraulic fracture, input of purified CO2 at elevated pressure, and, in particular, increased temperature...

Well we will start with an extra. IF you dont read Fr Ray Blakes item today on the Papal words to the Brazilian Bishoops, DO SO. It was also on the Vatican site I receive each day in full. I reckon it is the strongest statement yet from the Holy Father on the importance and absolute necessity of the Catholic Priesthood against those who would play this down Plus a stronger than ever request for more vocations. I note that in the diocese of East Anglia they are going overboard on climate change and carbon footprints. The Bishop has called on priests and parishioners to turn off unnecessary lights, use energy saving bulbs, stop wasting plastic bags and stop wasting water. That is for starters! He has ordered a parish audit on checking parishes Carbon footprints and estimating what they are doing to reduce them ! He speaks about What a wonderful start ...his Cathedral is...
