can any one recommend me any good drinking water filtration system for the home?

i looking for one on-line but i would like someone that has one to recommended me it . especially if it remove most fluoride in the water

I have used many different types of filtration systems, and have sooner or later had problems with them, they are expensive and you must change the cartridge's and that is expensive. I gave up on them. LOL
I bought myself an electric kettle which holds 10 cups. I boil my water twice and empty it into a gallon milk container, or used water bottles, and there you are, it is cheap, works the same way. It just takes a little more effort. Good Luck

What do you know about drinking water filtration systems?

Intrested in getting some sort of water filtration system. Looking at those under the sink reverse osmosis systems. Any brands you recommend? How hard is it to install? Is it something I could put on the honey-do list for my husband to install himself?

I install these for a living. they are not that difficult to install . and you can connect them to your refrigerator in most cases also. you can buy one from lowe's or home depot that's sufficient. several water treatment companies also sell them, culligan, aqua pure, kenetico, etc. they will install them for you if you buy theirs. don't buy britta that's a carbon filter it only removes chlorine. Reverse osmosis is the way to go. if you have a metal sink you may need to drill a 1 1/4 inch hole for the faucet. hopefully you don't have granite or marble countertops those are much more difficult to drill. or if you have a soap dispenser you can remove it and put your faucet there. you will need to drill a 3/8" hole high in the drain line under your sink for the r.o waste water to drain to. and you will likely need a 3/8"x3/8"x1/4" T threaded adapter for the feed line. the ones from lowe's and home depot have instructions to install, but i recommend you hire a professional if your husband isn't handy with tools.

  • High Impact Mom » Blog Archive » PUR Water Filtration Sytem Flavor ...

We drink a lot of water in our house. I mean a lot. When we were still buying bottled water I was buying two 24 packs of bottled water a week.  That’s a lotta water and a lot of plastic to sit in the landfills for 1000 years.

About a year ago,  we invested in a PUR water pitcher.  Not long after we got it I dropped the top and broke it.  Not that it affected the purifying or really even the use of the pitcher, but it did affect the pouring and my spilling.

Since there wasn’t actually anything wrong with the pitcher itself, we did not replace it and would still be using it had I not been asked to review the new PUR Flavor Options recently.

Not A Fan of Flavored Bottled Water

Now,  I must tell you I am not a fan of bottled flavored water and was a little apprehensive about trying it out.  However, when I got a chance to try the Flavor Options out I was pleasantly surprised.  Since the pitcher allows you to control how much or how little flavor you add to the water, I didn’t have to worry about taste overwhelming me. Also, the flavor wasn’t overly sweet (if you don’t hit the button 3 times) and didn’t have the artificial taste so many bottled flavored waters do.
