Does anybody know of any faucet filters that illiminate or at least reduces not only harmfull metals but chlorine and floride as well?


It is really difficult to get fluoride out of the water, chlorine goes away after sitting awhile. The reverse osmosis filter is your best bet, but you could just get bottled water for drinking and cooking.

How to clean my Brita Faucet Filter?

My Brita Faucet Filter has gotten some build-up in the creases (on the exterior, not part of the filtration system). The switch that you use to switch from filtered to regular water has so much build-up that I can barely change it. The build-up in the creases is kind of a brownish-orange.

I've soaked it in vinegar but the problem still exists. My wife wants to WD-40 the switch! Any better ideas?

What adapter / where to buy it, do I need to install a Pur Filter on this faucet that does not take the usual adapters... Thanks for your help in advance.


The filter should have all the adaptors needed.
Remove the 3/8" line that goes to the faucet and hook it up to the filter.
Install a new 3/8" flexible line to the faucet.
Screw the filter down to a convenient place.

Im trying to remove a Waterpik WAT F-7 Faucet Mount Filter. How do i remove the collar at the end of the tap?

i have removed the Filter except for the collar. underneath the collar is an attachment holdin the collar on the faucet. I cant get the attachement off because the collar is blocking access to the attachment under the collar. Is the only way to cut off the collar?

I was just curious, and I can't find anything that will say otherwise. :/ Does the PUR Faucet Water Filter take out alot of salt? Like Pure or Distilled water? I don't know alot about this stuff, so I really want to know. xD Please help!


I don't believe so. It only removes the impurities.
