I have a GE filter I installed on my house cold water line. It was fine until I installed a filter that didn't really fit & I think it let sediment get up into the pressure valve. Now I have put in the correct filter but water leaks out of the pressure valve unless I have it on bypass. I don't know what to do - maybe replace the whole unit with a new one? GE 800 number is useless.

I have a GE Side-by-Side Adora edition, I was wondering if the filter that we buy for it filters the water AND ICE. We have a separate water dispenser because the water in Las Vegas doesn't taste right. However we still do use the ice that our fridge produces which is connected to the tap water. Does anyone know?

You don't mention how old the unit is, however most newer unit have the filter ( replaceable) built into the refrigerator section ( upper right corner) a little older and the filter is around back on the inlet side of the water valve ( where the copper or plastic) 1/4" line come in. Ge makes replacement filters. Some are aval. at home depot or lowes. You can also order them on line or call an appliance parts company in town and ask them if they can supply one. You can change it your selfwith a couple adjustable wrenchs ... good drinking!!
I have a GE Water Filtration system for my well water. I replaced the two filters and the second I turn on the water, I go to the house and no water pressure; it just trickles. I had water pressure before with the dirty filters but now nothing with the clean filters. Ive turned on and off everything changed filters again. But still no water pressure!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would guess air in the pipes, or your stop valve is stuck, some systems have to be primed too!
