I'm wondering if the water filter really is doing it's job. I can kinda feel my left kidney and am imagining build-up from under-filtered water running through it. Ever heard of people getting kidney stones from drinking tap water?
i got a pur water filter to attach to my kitchen faucet and i wasnt impressed with it all! im sure it helped some but not enough for me to be pleased with it! maybe its just me! but i wouldnt recommend them personally.
I bought a paragon 10,000 gallon water filter from Sears for $60.00 and the part that screws into the faucet sprays water. The unit came with 3 different rubber washers, and I tried each of them, and it still sprays water. This particular water filter screws into the faucet, and the water base sits on the countertop, and is good for a whopping 10,000 gallons which is cool, but I can't seem to stop the darn water from spraying out where it screws the water diverter into the faucet! I am hoping that someone out there who has had a similar problem knows how to fix it, or is a plumber or understands how to correct this problem. Thanks and I look forward to reading your answers. Thanks!
i would use Teflon tape , rap it twice , o n the thread,
then apply the washer , make sure you screw it slowly ,and straight
My condo complex has well water with a water softening system. The water is awful - very soapy. My face broke out with acne and my hair looks terrible. I bought a filter for my shower head that includes blocking rust and chlorine, but I would like a better filter. I picked this one up from Home Depot for about $20. Can anyone recommend a bettter filter and the price range?
Sorry, dunno.
I have an Everpure H104 water filter installed under my sink that the previous owners installed. Has worked great so far. Changed the filter a year or so ago with no problems. Just swapped in a new filter, and the new one leaks. It seems like the impact of the water when I am done filling my glass forces a few drops out of the top somewhere.
I've placed a pan under it for now, but am going to tackle it again this weekend. Anyone have this happen to them and want to share their experience? I have the 800 number from Everpure.com but am curious to hear your experience with your filter, especially fixing a leaky filter.
Thanks!
care full attention must be taken when closing the filter after filter medium replacement , u just need to replace the rubber "O" ring , the previous one is already become unusable of there would be miss fitting of the ring while closing / righting ,
purchase a new rubber O ring or proper size rubber Gasket. u may also use Teflon PTFE for this , but rubber is best, available from every big hardware shop
Save Money By Installing a Water Filter | Oh My Apartment
Investing in a water filter is a less obvious way to save money on your living expenses. If you can’t stand the taste of your tap water, you may have already decided to purchase bottled water, as a better alternative. But there’s a more cost-effective way to obtain fresher, better tasting water.
Cost of Bottled Versus Filtered Water
Bottled water comes from many sources, including tap water. Regardless of the water’s source, the bottling company processes, bottles and distributes it, increasing its cost. Depending on the brand and type of water filter you purchase, the cost of filtered water averages around $0.30 (or less) per gallon. Bottled water (with prices ranging from $0.89 to $8.26 per gallon), on average, costs twelve times as much per gallon.
Water Filter Types
Several types of water filtration systems are available. Some types, like the whole house water filter, aren’t feasible for apartment dwellers. Instead, choose a filtration system based on the contaminant types you’re trying to remove from the water. For apartment dwellers, countertop, pitcher and faucet-mounted filters are the easiest to install. They’re more limited than under-sink filters because they’re visible and usually can’t filter contaminants besides tastes, smells and lead. This type of filter attaches to your faucet or requires you to pour water through it, making it less convenient than other types of water filters.
...The Water Filter: Only A Series Win And No 200-Hit Seasons In ...
Thursday's game was a heart breaker. A very good bullpen cost the Rays seven runs on two pitches. It was deadly to throw right down the middle of the plate with runners on. The Orioles bullpen gave up six runs on their own and were a hit and 90 ft shy of blowing a save. The offense needs to have the same mindset going into the Ranger weekend series. The pitching staff better have some short term memory loss. Just saw this morning that the Rays had never a player have a 200 hit season in franchise history . Carl Crawford needs 48 hits in 43 games to reach 200, very doable. CC has had four seasons with at least 183 hits. Believe or not but Aubrey Huff has the most hits in a season for a Ray with 198 in 2003. These games against the Orioles weren't too exciting . Speaking of Huff, didn't everyone miss booing him. Don't worry he'll be back.
